What is Sea Moss

Sea moss is a red algae that grows along the coastlines of the Atlantic, North America, Europe and in warmer sea waters of Asia, South America, Africa and parts of the Caribbean.

It is scientifically known as Chrondrus Crispus and most people refer to it as Irish Sea Moss. 

Sea moss is considered a "Superfood" because it provides 92 essential nutrients out of 102 minerals that is required for the body.

The main component of sea moss is carrageenan, a gelatious sustance used to thicken a variety of foods such as dairy products, processed meats and infant formula. It is also used in cosmetics and medications.
